This handbook covers various aspects of labor rights and certain components of state policy in the context of the standards set by the European Social Charter and the Charter of Fundamental Freedoms of the European Union.
The document serves as an auxiliary guide, which aims to share thematically collected and systematized material on labor rights with judges, lawyers, human rights organizations, representatives of the legal profession, thereby promoting knowledge, sensitivity and better standards. It also aims to encourage in-depth discussion on the issue of labor rights, and can serve as a practical guide for policy makers and law enforcement agencies that investigate alleged infringements of labor rights.
The guide was prepared in the framework of the EU-funded project “Support to Judicial Reform”.
